The July ConneX AM is powered by RCM&D and features Andy Hilger speaking on AI and leadership! Andy is a TEDx speaker and former president of Allegis Group, the $15 billion staffing and services company.
AI is coming. There’s no escaping that reality. But here’s the uncomfortable truth hiding behind all the headlines: nobody actually knows what it means. In this talk, Andy Hilger draws on lessons from building and scaling Allegis Group, one of the world’s largest staffing and services companies, to argue that businesses that thrive in the AI era aren’t the ones who out-automate their competition. They’re the ones who lean into the human aspects of their business. Through a blend of personal storytelling, business strategy, and AI research, Andy unpacks why operating from fear is a losing proposition, why agility will always beat ability, and why the things that make you distinctly you — your relationships, your culture, your values — are not liabilities in the age of AI. They’re the secret to not just surviving, but thriving.
Andy Hilger spent 25 years in the recruiting industry. For the last six years of his career, he served as president of Allegis Group, the Baltimore-based $15 billion staffing and services company. He now writes and speaks about leadership, the future of work, AI, and how to build meaningful careers in a world that won’t stop moving. He lives with his wife of 30 years in Ellicott City, where they raised their three children.
